Position : Accountant

Key responsibilities for this role include:

1. Manage a portfolio of business and professional clients
2. Maintain client relationships
3. Preparation of financial statements for all entities.
4. Preparation and lodgement of activity statements
5. Preparation of taxation advice
6. Assisting in Payroll services and Book keeping
7. Liaise with other Accountants and provide assistance within the team
8. ASIC Annual Review Preparation and Compliance
9. Handle audits including Trust Accounts

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

1. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in public practice, dealing with accounting and tax for small businesses and professionals.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
4. The ability to work autonomously and as a team member
5. Proven experience dealing with a portfolio of clients
6. Proven experience with taxation clients
7. Ability to assist other accountants and administrative staff
8. Previous experience with software such as MYOB, Xero and Handisoft etc
