Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a well-established locally owned and operated bakery located in Phillip Islands renowned for its freshly baked bread, pastries, and gourmet pies.

As the business continues to grow, our client is now seeking a qualified and experienced Baker to join the team. The role involves not only preparing a wide range of breads in accordance with company recipes and industry best practices but also supporting menu innovation, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient bakery operations.

1. Salary – Negotiable in therange of $75k to $80k plus superannuation per annum.
2. Tenure – Full time and ongoing.
3. Location – Cowes, VIC

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Prepare, bake, and present a wide variety of delicious breads and rolls, including white, wholemeal, sourdough and crusty varieties.
2. Ensure all baked products meet agreed quality and presentation standards.
3. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all bakery areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
4. Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters.
5. Train and mentor junior bakers or kitchen staff when required.
6. Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
7. Implement continuous improvement practices to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.

4. You have a passion for baking and are up to date on techniques and trends.
5. You have an unwavering commitment to flavour and presentation of the highest quality.

To be successfully considered for the role you:

1. Possess relevant Certificate IV or agreed substitute.
2. Have at least 1 or more, years of relevant work experience as a baker in a commercial bakery.
3. Are available across the working week.
4. Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.
5. Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
6. Strong attention to detail and high standards for product quality.
