About the Role

We are seeking a Chef to support daily kitchen operations. The role involves preparing and cooking menu items, managing a section during service, and maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation.

You will work as part of a kitchen team, contributing to efficient service delivery and maintaining established kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and service standards
  2. Manage a kitchen section during service and ensure timely food output
  3. Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating
  4. Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
  5. Monitor food quality and adherence to recipes
  6. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  7. Assist with stock rotation, storage, and inventory control
  8. Minimise food wastage and support efficient kitchen operations
  9. Coordinate with kitchen staff to maintain smooth workflow during service
  10. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen

Skills & Experience

  1. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a related qualification
  2. Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant full-time work experience
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  4. Strong attention to detail and consistency
  5. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  7. Good time management and organisational skills
