We are seeking a Skilled and Experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is crucial in supporting kitchen operations, maintaining culinary standards, and ensuring every dish served reflects ANDIE’S THIRROUL PTY LTD’s reputation for quality, consistency, and excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, cook, and present a range of high-quality dishes.
  2. Ensure consistency, flavour accuracy, and presentation quality across all dishes produced.
  3. Lead, manage, and supervise cooks and kitchen hands to maintain an efficient workflow and smooth service during daily operations and peak periods.
  4. Contribute to inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering, and monitoring ingredient quality and freshness.
  5. Oversee daily mise en place, ensuring all stations are adequately prepared for service.
  6. Maintain strict kitchen hygiene, food safety compliance, and occupational health and safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  7. Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff to uphold high culinary and operational standards.

Requirements:

  1. At least 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a commercial kitchen.
  2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations.
  3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks during service.
  4. Proven attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high food quality and presentation standards.
  5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support overall kitchen operations.
  6. Ability to guide and support junior kitchen staff.
