Civil Engineering Technician – Revesby, NSW

Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a well-established and trusted telecommunications, electrical, and fibre infrastructure services provider. Our client delivers end-to-end solutions across major network and infrastructure projects nationwide, supporting telecommunications carriers, government, and commercial clients.

Our client is now seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineering Technician to support the planning, design, and delivery of civil works associated with telecommunications and infrastructure projects.

  1. Salary – In the range of $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum.
  2. Location – Based inRevesby, NSW with work on-site and travel to project locations as required.
  3. Tenure – Full time and ongoing

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting in the design and delivery of civil works supporting telecommunications infrastructure, including fibre networks, conduit systems, and equipment foundations.
  2. Preparing and updating technical drawings, trenching layouts, pit and pipe designs, and as-built documentation using CAD software.
  3. Conducting site inspections and field assessments to support network rollout, upgrades, and maintenance projects.
  4. Supporting the planning and coordination of civil construction activities for telecommunications installations.
  5. Liaising with contractors, engineers, project managers, and field crew to ensure works are completed to specification and within project timelines.
  6. Assisting in identifying and resolving on-site issues related to access, utilities, and constructability.
  7. Ensuring compliance with telecommunications standards, civil construction regulations, and safety requirements.
  8. Monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.
  9. Ensuring adherence to workplace health and safety regulations.
  10. Support permit applications and approvals related to civil and communications infrastructure works.

To be successfully considered for interview we expect to see:

  1. A minimum of a highly relevant Diploma in a relevant discipline or agreed substitute.
  2. At least 3 or more years of post-qualification experience as a Civil Engineering Technician in telecommunications or utility infrastructure projects.
  3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar).
  4. Strong verbal communication and organisational skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively within a team.
  6. Familiarity with surveying equipment and techniques.
  7. A current Australian driver’s license and Construction Industry OH&S card.
  8. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
