    Our client is a growing, neuroaffirming, multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to providing holistic and inclusive supports for neurodivergent children and young people. They aim to reduce barriers to care by offering all therapy services in one location, using a collaborative, wraparound approach to support clients and their families.

    The team includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Art and Music Therapists, Allied Health Assistants, and administrative staff. They operate with a strong focus on connection, wellbeing, reflective practice, and sustainable ways of working.

    About the role: 

    As Team Leader – Speech Pathologist, you will:

    People & Team Leadership

    • Lead and support a multidisciplinary team in day-to-day operations
    • Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with therapists to support wellbeing, career development, and problem-solving
    • Guide staff through performance reviews, goal setting, and reflective conversations
    • Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new team members
    • Support the development and review of policies, procedures, and workplace processes
    • Promote a positive, inclusive, and neuroaffirming workplace culture

    Operational & Program Leadership

    • Assist with planning and coordination of school holiday programs and group services
    • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and internal projects
    • Foster communication and collaboration across disciplines and teams
    • Support incident management, feedback, and resolution processes as needed

    Clinical

    • Maintain a reduced clinical caseload aligned with leadership responsibilities
    • Provide neuroaffirming, relationship-based therapy
    • Complete assessments, reports, and documentation as required
    • Liaise with families, schools, and other stakeholders as needed

    Requirements: 

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
    • Speech Pathology Australia registration
    • Experience in paediatric and/or NDIS settings
    • Strong people skills and a genuine interest in staff wellbeing and development
    • Experience supporting, mentoring, or informally leading clinicians
    • Neuroaffirming and trauma-informed approach
    • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
    • Confidence in navigating sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
    • Current Working With Children Check and Police Check
    • Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
    • Current CPR certification and First Aid training (or willingness to complete)
    • Right to work in Australia

    Highly regarded but not essential:

    • Previous team leadership or people management experience
    • Experience contributing to policy and procedure development
    • Lived experience of neurodivergence
