About the Role

Triim is seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a commercial kitchen environment, assisting with menu execution, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the smooth daily operations of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, cook, and present meals according to established menus, recipes, and service standards
  2. Assist with daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and service timelines
  3. Support menu planning and development of daily or seasonal specials
  4. Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation across all services
  5. Monitor portion control and minimize food wastage
  6. Assist with ordering, stock management, and estimating ingredient requirements
  7. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in all kitchen areas
  8. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations
  9. Support junior kitchen staff as required
  10. Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery

Requirements

  1. Certificate III or higher with relevant experience
  2. Minimum 1 year experience as a Cook in a similar environment
  3. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
  4. Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
