To support daily operations and maintain high service standards, Goondee Aged Care Home is seeking skilled and experienced Cook to join its team. These roles are essential in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations within a care-focused environment.

Salary Range: $75,000–$80,000 AUD

Location: 13 Jersey Street, Strathfield, NSW 2135

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook food items in accordance with established recipes and instructions.
2. Assist in basic food preparation, including cutting, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
3. Ensure dishes are produced consistently and presented in line with expected standards.
4. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and workstations throughout operations.
5. Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements:

1. At least 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
2. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
3. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support overall kitchen operations.
