About Us

Pretty Pet Pty Ltd is a growing pet‑care business specialising in professional dog grooming and personalised training services. We’re dedicated to helping dogs look great, feel great, and develop positive behaviors through gentle handling and modern, reward‑based methods

About the Role

As a Dog Trainer, you will work directly with clients and their dogs to deliver personalized training programs, address behavioral concerns, and support owners in building strong, healthy relationships with their pets. This role offers variety, independence, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Consult with clients to understand their dogs’ behavioral issues, training goals, and individual needs.
  2. Detect additional behavioral concerns during sessions and communicate these clearly to clients with actionable plans.
  3. Develop personalized training plans for dogs of all ages and breeds, documenting progress and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  4. Teach dogs essential obedience commands using training methods tailored to their temperament and learning style.
  5. Implement structured programs to address behavioral challenges such as aggression, separation anxiety, hyperactivity, reactivity, and biting.
  6. Educate clients on proper training techniques to reinforce and maintain their dogs’ learned behaviors at home.
  7. Provide flexible training options, including in‑home sessions, in‑shop training, and puppy programs.

What We’re Looking For

  1. At least 2 years’ experience in dog training, behavior consulting, or related animal‑care fields.
  2. Strong understanding of canine behaviors and body language.
  3. Excellent communication and client‑education skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
  5. Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
  6. Able to speak mandarin is preferable but not essential.
