First Class Machinist / Fitter

Due to increased demand, Hydramech have positions for full time trade qualified machinists/Fitters in our West Kalgoorlie workshop.

The Role:

Hydramech service and repair hydraulic cylinders & components for underground mining machinery. We have a variety of in-house processes including fitting, manual lathes, borers, milling, and CNC machining. We embrace technology and use quality tooling.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following tasks:

1. Machining tasks associated with the overhaul of hydraulic cylinders.
2. Thread turning, rod manufacture, retube and general machining tasks.
3. Measure, inspect and report on components.
4. Attend and participate in toolbox talks
5. Ensuring a safe and tidy workspace is maintained.
6. Participate in a well-planned workshop environment.

Essential Criteria to be considered for the positions:

1. A Recognised Trade Certificate or other relevant trade qualification.
2. Demonstrated experience with fitting & machining in a workshop environment.
3. Current WA drivers licence.
4. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol test.

These positions are residential to Kalgoorlie and no fly in / fly out is offered.
