About You
You have proven yourself to have a strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
With at least 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role, you are looking for the next step to build your career. If you have undertaken a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens this will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
You possess a clean driver's licence and a have, or are willing to obtain, a white card.
You are proud of your keen eye for detail and are passionate about delivering high quality work and exceeding client expectations. You are physically fit and able to safely lift heavy objects when required and stand/kneel/squat/bend for extended periods.
A team player who values the experiences, knowledge and input of your colleagues, you have well-honed communication skills and a willingness to provide suggestions on process improvements where appropriate.
Above all you enjoy coming to work each day with a positive attitude to create beautiful open spaces that people can enjoy.
About the Role
As a Garden Maintenance Team Member, you will be maintaining and enhancing gardens and outdoor spaces for one of our largest clients - Goodman. This role covers their business parks and commercial sites based in Botany, Riverwood, Kingsgrove, Alexandria and Mascot. This is a mobile run where you will travel to a different site each day.
This hands-on role is ideal for a capable gardener or landscaper who’s passionate about their craft and enjoys the variety of doing something different every day!
Responsibilities
- Use of a variety of equipment such as push mower, whipper snipper, hedger, pole pruner, small plant machinery and basic hand tools
- Planting, weeding, pruning, and watering
- Mowing and whipper snipping lawns, trimming edges, and caring for turf areas
- Preparing soil, mulching and planting beds
- Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment
- Adhering to safety protocols for a safe work environment
