    Practice Information:
    The organisation is an end-to-end Occupational Healthcare service supporting businesses and their workers. They aim to ensure all workers go home to their loved ones safe and well every night! They do this by offering a full range of health services including: pre-employment medicals; health surveillance and monitoring; injury treatment; rapid medical Intervention (including surgery); drug and alcohol testing; skin checks and vaccination clinics. Their teams are multidisciplinary with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership to ensure that their customers receive the best care possible.

    Position Description: 
    The practice is seeking a General Practitioner with an Occupational Health interest to join their team in their brand new, modern, fully equipped practice in Mackay. The Medical Practitioner will complete pre-employment medicals (including coal board medicals) and provide medical management for workplace injuries. You will have an opportunity to work closely with their specialists, including their CEO and plastic surgeon. 
     
    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Provide high-quality occupational healthcare services to workers in keeping with best practice standards
    • Assess potential workers before they commence employment. (verify medical history, conduct basic examinations, risk assessment and recommendations to the employer regarding suitability for the proposed role)
    • Medically manage workplace injuries to ensure return-to-work-outcomes are achieved effectively and efficiently.

     Position Requirements:

    • Full unrestricted registration with AHPRA. 
    • Ideally Examining Medical Officer (Coal Board Medical) qualification (or a willingness to complete this training)
    • Medical Indemnity insurance
    • Valid National Police Clearance
