About this opportunity

Wellways is excited to offer the position of Home Care Worker, this role will suit someone who enjoys interacting and supporting our participants with daily activities.

In this role you will work on the front line of our Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants activities of daily living such as personal care, domestic assistance. This role requires you to work closely with the person to ensure their individual needs are met.

Home Care Workers are the front line of our Consumer Directed Services programs, providing consumers with the personalised support to assist our participants to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Your varied day may include providing support with activities of daily living such as companionship, transport, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance and medication management. An essential element of your role is that you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of care provided to participants.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory) or relevant experience

  • Minimum Diploma and/or relevant experience in Mental Health will be highly preferred

  • Must have full driver's license and have access to their own vehicle

  • Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old]

  • NSW Working with Children Check

  • Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one

  • NDIS Workers Screening Check

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate

  • Availability and willingness to use personal smartphone (iPhone or Android)
