Hospitality Assistant - Cleaner

The Opportunity

At Infinite Aged Care, our Housekeeping Assistants play a vital role in creating positive daily experiences for our residents. Working and reporting to the Hotel Services Team Leader, you will be responsible to support the overall well-being and dignity of our residents by delivering high-quality cleaning services that meet hygiene and infection control standards, contributing to a homelike and welcoming atmosphere across all areas of the care home.

About the Role

In this hands-on, fast-paced role, you will:

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, lounges, dining areas, and hallways.
• Follow all infection prevention and hygiene protocols while performing cleaning tasks.
• Maintain work areas in a clean, safe, and hazard-free condition.
• Work collaboratively with the team, showing initiative, common sense and a willingness to help others.
• Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for residents, making every interaction meaningful.

This is a physically active role requiring daily bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing. You must be able to perform these tasks safely to protect yourself, your team, and our residents.

About You

• Previous experience in a laundry, cleaning, or similar support role.
• A warm, friendly and compassionate approach, with a genuine desire to support and engage with our residents.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with the ability to follow procedures and communicate clearly with your team.
• Proactive in supporting residents in dining areas, helping to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment.
• A confident problem-solver who can work independently, take initiative and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable, hardworking, flexible and with good availability to cover a variety of shifts.
