Interim Manager Economic Development

This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on interim leadership role and make an immediate impact within a regional NSW council.
Working on-site, you will lead the delivery of the Economic Development Strategy and Destination Management Plan, while providing leadership across economic development, tourism and events.
This role is focused on delivery and results, turning strategy into meaningful outcomes for the region.
You will play a key role in building strong partnerships across business, industry and government, while securing funding and delivering initiatives that support sustainable regional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver economic development and destination management strategies
Lead and support a high-performing team across economic development, tourism and events
Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business, industry and government
Identify funding opportunities and drive key initiatives
Provide leadership and direction to ensure operational outcomes are achieved
About You
You are an experienced leader in economic development and/or tourism, with the ability to step in quickly and deliver outcomes.
You bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, commercial awareness and a practical, solutions-focused approach. You are confident working in a regional local government environment and are motivated by making a tangible difference.
Experience in Local Government or State Government is essential.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant role is required.
