Job Description
The Joiner is responsible for the manufacture, assembly, installation, and repair of timber structures and fittings across residential and commercial projects.
Daily tasks include
- Interpreting drawings and specifications to determine materials, measurements, and
construction methods.
- Cutting, shaping, and joining timber to produce frames, fittings, and structural elements.
- Repairing and maintaining existing timber features and working with related materials as
required.
- Installing joinery, timber structures, and fittings, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and quality
finish.
- Fabricating and assembling timber components and joinery items in the workshop and on site.
Requirements:
1. Relevant qualification: AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV. Work experience can replace
the qualification.
2. Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience as a Joiner or in a closely related role.
3. Other requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Annual salary: $76,515 + superannuation (38 hours per week).
