Job Description
The Painter is responsible for completing painting and finishing works across residential and commercial sites. This role includes preparing surfaces, applying protective and decorative finishes, and ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and client specifications.
Daily tasks include:
- Preparing surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
- Applying paint, varnish, or other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
- Selecting and mixing paints to achieve the desired color and finish
- Protecting surrounding areas (floors, furniture, fixtures) before starting work
- Inspecting completed work to ensure a high-quality finish and making touch-ups when needed
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition and keeping the work area clean
Requirements:
1. Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.
2. At least 3 years of experience in residential or commercial painting
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality finishes
4. Good knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials
5. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
6. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
7. Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
8. Valid driver’s license (preferred)
Annual salary: $76.515 + superannuation
Proposed Hours of Work: 38 hours per week (full-time position)
