About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer (Project Controls) to join our growing team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring across infrastructure and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6

• Prepare baseline programmes, WBS structures, and activity coding

• Monitor project progress and identify schedule variances

• Perform critical path analysis and forecasting

• Prepare S-curves, dashboards, and progress reports

• Conduct delay analysis and support Extension of Time (EOT) claims

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams

• Develop resource-loaded schedules and manpower histograms

• Maintain as-built records and support project handover documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in project planning or project controls

• Strong experience in Primavera P6 and scheduling tools

• Knowledge of SPI/CPI, forecasting, and delay analysis

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
