Practice Nurse (RN or EN)

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (Div 1) or Enrolled Nurse (Div 2) to become an integral member of our fully accredited and computerised General Practice at Ocean Grove and Portarlington.

Working alongside a team of General Practitioners, Nurses and administrative support, you will be part of a professional team environment. You will have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts and in a fast-paced team environment. This position is permanent part-time.

You will be part of a team responsible for, however not limited to, the following:

• Immunisations
• Assist and support GP’s with minor procedures
• Management of recall and reminder systems
• Supporting GP’s in chronic disease management- health assessments and care plans
• Stock maintenance and ordering
• ECG
• Wound management
• Infection control and procedures
• Maintaining cold chain management system
• Triage

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must meet the following essential criteria:
MUST HAVE PRACTICE NURSE EXPERIENCE

• Immunisation Accreditation certification will be highly regarded
• Competence in emergency triage will be highly regarded, but not essential
• Proficient computer skills – knowledge of Best Practice an advantage
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated initiative, time-management & flexibility
