About the role  

Reporting to the Business Analyst Manager and based on-site at Homebush West, you will collaborate with internal business stakeholders and the IT team to develop business case outcomes to company standards and secure senior stakeholder endorsement. You will also contribute to key project deliverables within the project delivery framework, including business cases, solution concept designs, and training documentation.

You will; 

  • Deliver comprehensive business requirements and analysis, as well as planning and manage the user acceptance testing stage of projects.
  • Model current and future processes, and document business requirements, including functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Manage and support business user acceptance testing activities, including documenting business test scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in business analysis methodology, including processes, tools, and templates.  Provide oversight to peers, promoting consistency and adherence to best practice standards.
  • Partner with technical teams to support solution design and ensure alignment with business and operational realities.
  • Contribute to the development of transition materials to transfer business and system knowledge to the production support team.
  • Provide process and functional knowledge to support pilot-period activities and hyper care end-user support.

About you  

You will bring extensive experience as a Business Analyst in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully delivering medium to large complex IT projects. Your strengths include analytical thinking and problem-solving, enabling you to lead workshops to facilitate discussions and provide analysis for your proposed projects. Additionally, you will excel at identifying needs and opportunities for improvement.

You will also have: 

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality documentation.
  • Experience in writing business and project documentation to support the implementation of technology solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project management lifecycles and product implementation methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrid).
  • Proficient in asking the right questions of stakeholders to understand the underlying reasons behind processes.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Expertise in the management and execution of end-to-end user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ability to partner effectively with the business to ensure outcomes align with business needs and objectives.
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business or Engineering.
