The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Project Manager - Technology to join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for planning and managing the various IT and OT technology Projects within the Technology Project Pipeline.  

The key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple work streams in parallel to deliver scope of work with a specific focus on following areas:
    • Train operations
    • Engineering (Civil, Communications, Electrical and Network)
    • Maintenance
    • Technology
  • Manage stakeholder engagement, with the ability to help resolve potential conflicts between stakeholders.
  • Ensure agile delivery and similar agile project methodologies are being applied.
  • Clear understanding of NIST cyber framework and risk mitigated by various Arc Infrastructure policies and standards.
  • Creation and updates of business cases, project plans, steering committee reporting and risk and issue management.
  • Manage vendors effectively to achieve planned deliverables within agreed parameters.
  • Evaluate the scope and complexity of projects and programs and identifies the necessary resources to ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Coordinates needs with various stake holders and delivery team.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Relevant formal tertiary qualifications in Technology, business or equivalent.
  • Rail System experience desirable but not essential.
  • One or more of either PMBOK Certification, Prince2 Certification or Agile Certification (eg. ICP, CSM etc.) essential.
  • Strong experience delivering IT/OT specific projects within a commercial setting in relation to infrastructure and/or applications
  • Strong risk management discipline with experience in taking a leading role to deliver the project within the Program’s risk appetite.
  • Strong project financial management experience ensuring project cost is managed and full financial cost of projects are reflected.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate complex scenarios and information in a manner suitable to non-technical stakeholders.
