About The Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst to join the team at TOT Transport Pty Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing supply chain operations, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending data-driven improvements to enhance overall performance. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to optimise transport planning, resource utilisation, and delivery outcomes. This position requires strong analytical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to translate data insights into practical operational strategies.
Tasks Include:
- Analyse supply chain and logistics operations, including transport scheduling, delivery performance, and resource utilisation, to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of supply chain objectives, strategies, and operational plans based on analytical findings.
- Coordinate transport operations including bookings, scheduling, and dispatch activities, while analysing booking trends, delivery volumes, and route efficiency to optimise planning and service delivery.
- Monitor fleet and transport performance, including fuel consumption, utilisation rates, and operational costs, and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.Also, provide advisory recommendations based on performance analysis and identified operational gaps.
- Evaluate storage, handling, and transportation processes to ensure quality and compliance standards are maintained across the supply chain and Identify system,capability, and structural gaps within supply chain processes to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilise logistics software, data management systems, and reporting tools to generate insights, track key metrics, and support operational decision-making.
- Prepare and maintain accurate operational records, reports, and performance dashboards to support business analysis and strategic planning and, prepare and recommend proposals to revise methods, workflows, and operational procedures based on analysis.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain efficiency, delivery timelines, and service outcomes.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, forecast demand, and support continuous improvement initiatives across transport and logistics functions.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients to provide insights, resolve operational issues, and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Support the implementation of process improvements, system enhancements, and operational strategies based on analytical findings.
- Review compliance with workplace health and safety standards and contribute to maintaining safe and efficient operational practices.
- Assist in identifying organisational gaps and opportunities for innovation through ongoing analysis of logistics and supply chain processes.
Qualifications, experience and other requirements
- A relevant AQF Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field is required. OR a Bachelor degree in a non-highly relevant field, supported by at least three (3) years of relevant full-time employment experience in supply chain analysis, logistics, or transport operations.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant full-time experience in supply chain, logistics, or transport analysis roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience using data analysis tools, logistics software, and reporting platforms to support decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics (KPIs).
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively.
- Sound understanding of supply chain operations, transport logistics, and process optimisation techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail, organisational capability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
