What does the job look like?

As a Transport Supervisor, you’ll play a hands‑on role in keeping fleet and drivers operating safely, efficiently and compliantly. Working closely with the Transport Manager, you’ll balance safety, customer expectations and commercial outcomes in a fast‑moving transport environment. Key areas:

  • Lead safe and compliant transport operations in line with Linfox safety standards, legislation and customer requirements
  • Supervise fleet and driver utilisation within fatigue management guidelines
  • Coordinate and oversee contractor activity where required
  • Drive operational efficiency by maximising payloads while meeting all compliance obligations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across processes and equipment
  • Support driver capability through training coordination and on‑the‑job development

Are you the one?

You’re a transport operations professional who leads with safety, understands freight operations, and enjoys supporting people while delivering reliable outcomes for customers.  You can demonstrate:

  • Experience in transport scheduling or coordination
  • Practical knowledge of Australian transport legislation and fatigue management requirements
  • Experience supervising drivers and fleet within a safety‑critical environment
  • Strong understanding of general freight operations, including load restraint
  • Experience supporting driver training, competency management and compliance
  • Exposure to SAP warehousing systems (desirable)
